Q.
When I see a new pile of dirt, how do I know where to start digging to find the entrance to the tunnel?
A.
Study the photos on the instructional DVD. There is an indented ring of dirt where the tunnel begins.

Q.
How many gophers do I have?
A.
Probably not as many as you think. Gophers usually push up one or 2 mounds of dirt a day.

Q.
How far do I need to dig to find the open tunnel?
A.
It all depends on how new the mound of dirt is. The plug of dirt could be anywhere from 1" to 12" in the tunnel.

Q.
Sometimes I loose the tunnel when digging out the dirt plug. Where does it go?
A.
Remove the dirt a little at a time so you can always follow the softest dirt. Sometimes the tunnel makes an immediate left or right turn only a short distance below the ground. When that happens, you will need to dig out more dirt so as to be able to set the trap straight into the hole.
